We've just gotten home from Knoxville, and we had a great time at the show! Well, my husband enjoyed it, but I REALLY liked it. There were so many varieties and everything was so great looking. Some of the displays were very fancy with backdrops and moss and ferns. There was one display that was only a table with about 6 pots on it- but 4 of them had ribbons.
I tried to take a lot of photos (which took a lot of time and irritated DH) but I won't list them all here. They had a larger sale table than I expected, the first time we walked by there was a big table of $10 plants, and later when we walked by they were all gone! So it appears the Society made a little money, which is good! But I didn't get to buy anything, which was BAD! lol
Afterwards we tried a new Indian restaurant that had a lunch buffet. I'm usually kinda doubtful about buffets, but this one was GREAT and we stuffed ourselves until we couldn't eat any more. Yum!
Here's some photos, I'm just typing the names that were on the display cards, as I don't know all that much about Orchids....but I'm learning from y'all. The parents of the crosses were also on most of the cards, so if you want more info I have it.

Nice pictures Susan. Looks like it was a great show. I'm not sure I could go to a show and not buy anything. You might be getting a visit from the Orchid Police. Rolling on the floor laughing

My hubby is rather um, FRUGAL! Hilarious!
If I was there alone I sure would have come home with an armful. But I didn't feel too bad, spent over $100 online yesterday buying some.

Susan, thanks soooo much for posting your pictures and for taking the trouble to label them!! Ya done good. Looks like a great show! Of course, I would have gone to the sale table first ($10 is a steal!!)
Oh, just noticed that the Zygoneria is the wrong name for that catt. But no big deal.

Oops, maybe I got the wrong plant. Sometimes it was hard to tell which plant the name tag went to.

Ewww, I just looked up the Zygoneria- not even close! lol But I do remember taking a photo of a plant like that.

I took so many photos I'm setting them up in a couple of articles rather than make the thread here too long.
Plus, that way I could just put the photo of the name tag next to the photo of the bloom, and I didn't have to type the name, heh heh!
