The last couple of days my clematis are starting to bloom.
These were all purchased last year.

Rebecca - not as tall but there is next year.


Huldine - only 1 bloom open so far but I just love this one. It is already 3/4 of the way up a very tall trellis.


Pink Fantasy - opened very pink and then starts fading.


Blue Angel - half way up the trellis along side Huldine.

Looks like they are happy on that nice white fence

Nice Julia. I sure love 'Rebecca'! Really, really need to get that one.

Huldine & Blue Angel are on one trellis and Rebecca & Avant Garde were planted on the other trellis that we finished this spring. We made the lattice squares and frame but I have to give kudos to my husband since he designed the trellises even though I kept changing the square sizes We decided to run supports from the pergola to the frames since we live in a high wind area.
I was a bit nervous about the installation as I had already planted the clems and didn't want to disturb them so we had to move the trellises more forward than I would have liked but I think this will work out okay. This photo was taken in early March.

That's beautiful! Can't wait to see a picture when all the clems are blooming!

I like your pictures Julia. I have this green clematis that is blooming. Every time I try to take a picture it would be fuzzy, finally tonight I got a clearer picture, but the bloom is starting to die back. I don't know it's name, I've been babying the plant for a few years, and it's coming slowly.

Clematis are loving their new trellises. Here are a couple more pics to share with you.

Huldine and Blue Angel (together on one trellis) They are both almost to the top of the trellis



Rebecca and Avant Garde are another one. However, Rebecca has not done too good in climbing up. Several of her vines were broken off. Here is Avant Garde who is about three quarters of the way up the trellis already.

Julia, the clematis are beautiful climbing up the trellis! The white trellis really shows off the blooms. Beautiful!
