Polly, So glad I can help you expand your wish list! I tried to enter Kiss Me Please on the data base, but it wasn't able to take it. Guess it's not in there yet.

You can add it, Mary Ann. If I add irises I get the acorns, if you do you get them, plus you get them for your pictures.

Go to the Plant Database, and then to add a plant. Fill in genus as Iris, and cultivar as Amanda Erin and then hit add the plant. Then it will come up on my list to approve.

When you click "add a plant" in the Plants Database, you should get a screen that looks like this:

http://garden.org/plants/add.p...

Then, for this particular case, just type:

"Tall Bearded Iris" (without the quote marks) in the Plant's primary common name box
"Iris" (without the quotes) in the Genus box
and "Amanda Erin" (again, no quotes) in the Cultivar box

Click "Add The Plant" and you should get a message saying that it will be reviewed by the moderator (Polly or Dee for irises). Once they approve it, you can add pictures and other information. Hope this helps.

In my avatar? If so, it doesn't have a name, it's just a seedling of mine.

Oh pooh -- I'm on vacation with only my IPad, no access to pictures until a week from Thursday! And this is just the kind of thing I love to do! Oh well, I'm enjoying the beach and the peace and quiet...

Well, Betty, take some pictures of the beach, and we'll all be green with envey. That's not fair, you had a vacation a while back too! And here I am, thinking of going back to work half time! I'll be waiting to see your pics in a few days.

Kent, that's more then "just a seedling" of yours, it's a very special one, I hope to see introduced one of these years!

Jan, thanks, and I look forward to your pics.

Sorry, Tom -- I didn't bring my camera. I left it at home for our house-sitting son to take daylily pics while we're gone. We have four weeks at this one timeshare down at Oceanside near San Diego, and we just come down here to get away from the Bakersfield heat and hang out at the beach, listen to the surf, etc. We've been doing this for almost 30 years, so we've seen all the sights and feel like we're at home here -- just a whole lot prettier, much better air, and NO RESPONSIBILITIES! So I'm afraid there will be no pictures...

OK -- got it done -- thanks Kent. I got that screen before (twice) but put Iris in the common name box and *Amanda Erin* in the cultivar box, and didn't know what to put in the genus box. It was not accepted that way, so I didn't know where to go with it.

Now I've put Polly to work!! Green Grin!
