Conium maculatum has smooth, hollow stems with purplish-red splotches on it. These have hairy stems. The leaves also don't look consistent with conium maculatum, which are much more finely cut and look similar to carrot leaves.

I think this is another picture of Giant Hogweed (Heracleum mantegazzianum)

This does have the purplish-red splotches, but it does have a hairy stem. Will check on it today.

Now wondering if there is a way to remove this "comment thread" from the picture. It is now listed under the correct plant, so I hate to still see a thread listing it as possibly misidentified. To clarify, it was originally posted under a different plant, and has been moved to the correct one.
