Hmmm.... What do y'all think about this cultivar? It doesn't seem to be super easy (or cheap) to find. It meets all the criteria I'm looking for to plant in my location though. What are y'alls thoughts on this one? Y'all have any other suggestions for comparable hosta?

I am not familiar with GG so looked at the pictures on the Hosta Library. The pictures of GG are of young plants which remind me of Abiqua Drinking Guord. Look at the pictures of ADG if you aren't familiar with it. It should be readily available.

I love it! Thumbs up Slug/sun tolerant, and upright, it is a giant and I do not have room! Rolling my eyes.

I've had Gentle Giant for 3 years and it's a nice one. I had to move it this year because it was in a bed with a maple tree, birch tree, and a spirea bush...terrible root problem!

Well, I was going to try to add the picture, but my computer isn't cooperating tonight! Sorry

Steph,

I would think that it's pretty easy to find now. I bought this one from Naylor Creek a few years ago, and 3 liners from Walter's Gardens 2 years ago. They also grew fast!

Susan,

I think you'd like it in your garden. Hope you are able to find room for it..

Rose

I purchased GG last year-- mine is still pretty small!!! But to me it looks upright like a Krossa Regal but with cupped leaves.
