Is there any good software out there to keep track of where/when you got the plant, when it blooms, when you repot, the plant's needs, etc. ,or do you all just keep track in a book?

I bought OrchidWiz last year but it was expensive. I'll have to check the journals to see if these features are available. Fred has it too and I think Ursula.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I have all that info in a book, but it would be easier to edit/make notes on the computer. It would also be nice to add a thumbnail to each one. I have tried to figure out how to do it in a spreadsheet, but I'm just not that computer literate. : Confused

I don't have it.
I use my website to keep track of my plants. I don't record when I repotted etc, but the pictures tell me - usually.

When you go shopping, do you take your book/list with you? How do you keep track of what you have and what you want? Or is it all just impulse shopping?!

LOL! I've got a system...First I check Andy's Orchids for easy grow, C-I-W temps. Then I make a list from that info. Of course Andy's only deals with species orchids so the rest is all impulse. My "want" list isn't too long to remember. Big Grin

I buy mostly at shows, so if it jumps into my eye and yells "yoohoo take me", it might walk with me, unless it really is a bad match.
I know what I have and I think I duplicated only a couple of times by mistake. But then that is fine too...

I just keep a list of names and culture info. I do inventory in fall when they come in. I always keep the list handy when I shop on ebay or talk to you guys. I've brought it to shows on occasions to make sure I don't buy the same plants over and over. I am always attracted to the same orchids!
Just got my 7.02 OrchidWiz. I truly love it-especially finding names for a x and for pics although they only include registered plants and sometimes don't have pics for my rarer plants.

I like to duplicate and see how they do.

Janice, I was once told to get two plants and put them in different conditions to see which one does better.
