My neighbor laughs at me . I get home from work and rush to the gardens with camera and garbage bag in hand. First I clean my
daylilies and then it's picture time I think its normal.

Of course it's normal! Even more normal would be if you got up an hour each morning and went out to see the daylilies. Beautiful blooms. What is the name of the red one? It certainly is RED!

LOL That's me on the weekend..I'm always running out side to see Who opened The Red one was Frans Hall last year now it's
all Red and very bright there are a bunch of them . Im learning that alot of my daylilies from Gilbert Wilde were marked wrong

You and me both! Now instead of just letting my dogs out first thing in the morning, I get dressed and go out with them.

With my camera and a notebook.

Then I check again before I leave for work.

And when I get home.

Neighbors think I am nuts. Of course, they truly realized it when I started building another daylily bed!

Yea Liam & Seamus are Great dogs. They help me with gardening by keeping the squirels
OUT I dont have any borders around most all of my gardens and they will Not go into the
gardens. I drive them nuts with pictures

Shannon, have you tried dead heading in the late evening? We call it "live heading."

Much more fun than getting that spent bloom goo all over your hands! And, the garden looks great first thing in the morning!

Very pretty blooms and love your dogs too. I used to have a Sheltie. I work nights and have to dead head in my uniform before I even go into the house to get my camera. Seems normal to me and I've gotten really good about not getting any stains on my work clothes.

I was dead heading today. And now I have purple fingers LOL

Jan... LOL Seamus was like that when he was younger But,then I started with a treat everytime we took
pictures and now 60% of the time he likes picture time.

Isn't it amazing what treats will do? At our house treats are -- baby food! The kitties will do anything (especially line up in the morning to get a spoonful), and they each have their favorite between Gerber chicken, Gerber ham and Beechnut beef. (I have 7 cats.)
