I had such an amazing trip down to California last week, and just got back last night. In the process I noticed small yellow blooms on sheer rock walls along the highway. I decided to stop and see what it was.
Hurray! Sedum spathulifolium in all it's glory. And two other succulents that I am not sure what they are. Maybe all of you can help to identify them.
Unknown succulent and a photo of the bloom.

Last but not least is Sedum spathulifolium and the rock all of them are growing on. It is covered with succulents of several different kinds.

I was absolutely amazed that I recognized those tiny yellow blooms from the highway at 65 mph. Rolling on the floor laughing
I had just finished reading Helen Payne's book 'Jewels of the High Country'. She talked about being able to do that. It was such a wonderful gift to see them growing like that.

Yes she does. It is all about succulent type jewels. What an awesome book. Found one on Amazon.com. I am sure glad I did, I never would have realized that was what the yellow blur was, passing those cliffs and rocks at 65 mph. Green Grin!
