I had the privilege of meeting Gordon in person today! And visiting his unique and really cool home and rooftop garden! Talk about dedication and love for gardening and Brugmansias... oh the work and love involved to grow them and keep those amazing plants alive!!! and he has ROSES also!!!!! oh it was fo great to see roses growing so high up in the sky... lovely!

Hats off to you my friend... your dedication is really inspiring... and HUGE thanks for my gifts of brugs and homemade ICE CREAM... my friend Linda and I could not stop talking about it... oh so delicious...

Well yes.. it was fun to show it all off... to Kassia and Linda... what fun to have visitors... as so few get to see my garden.. being up in the air as it is... and always nice to enjoy ice cream.. they both were wild for the basil ice cream but they still couldn't pick a favorite out of the five kinds they tasted..

Well... yes Kassia.. lots of things to do..I've concreted the pond and painted it a light blue called moon drops.. and got the fogger working in it tonight .. and solved a malfunction of the underwater lighting.. and got the pump going... I just have to mount a pair of hands to hold the stream of water... and you can tell Lida I made the corn ice cream she mentioned having in Rio.. and served it to another Rio native working here at the UN... she knew the corn ice cream and gave it rave reviews when it was served after her crawfish boil.. pictured in it's 80 gallon pot.. and served on a table mound..

OH..Ginger .. I'd love to have you visit... See the garden.. and enjoy some ice cream... I've been having alot of requests for some Ginger ice cream.. so I'd have to have you try some ... and I've thought of a fres mint ice cream... there's one at a local chocolate room.. and it's so good.. I'm a bit reluctant to compete... or some other favorite.. Philys not far.. like Florala is..

Wow that's some feast you served !! Ginger ice cream...cool There was a little shop in Buffalo that made cinnamon ice cream...really yummy with hot fudge sauce.

Well.. Ginger.. I culd do a cinnamon for you.. that has also been a requested flavor.. hot fudge would put any of them over the top... for flavor.. i think cinnamon will be the next one.. just to practice for your arrival.. I'll let you know how it goes..
OH.. the new brug I got from JT at the RU in Florala.. that was named i honor of his granddaughter Karoline that accompaned him there this spring has bloomed.. a full flush of 5 or 6 flowers already.. my report is that it's an exceptional growing.. strong hardy brug..[ perhaps the strongest of any I've had ] with perhaps the strongest fragrance of any... surely a 10 on a 10 scale..

I will tell Linda about the ice cream... next week I am getting a machine (not as expensive as yours but lets see if the one I get is decent... I have been reading about ice cream history,,, fascinating... and I will tell you about my experiments..,

I will send you the mini hostas... just got them out of the weed jungle... my garden has been attack from evil weeds... can't stand it! hopefully the weather will also cooperate... don't want to kill the poor things...

my brugs are growing... do you think I can plant the one you told me to have it in water for a while???

well... nice... sure.. give it a try and plant it... did it show any sign of roots while it's been in the water...
