I received as a gift a lovely basket - more looking like a birdsnest, very cute - from Lowes, but the poor succulents in it were all looking sad. After having it sit there a day I thought I spotted something along the edge.... and SURE ENOUGH!! there is a plastic liner inside the basket, making what would otherwise be a lovely medium for succulents into a swimming pool!!!
I turned the whole thing upside down, ripped out the plastic liner (while saying a small apology to the no doubt underpaid worker who sewed it inside the basket) put the plant clump back and hung the whole thing in a hanging basket that had been in need of a new liner!
Plant rescue!!
