Hi Chelle,
I just saw your post. Sometimes I get online a lot, and other times I realize it has been weeks since I last checked. I've primarily been working on the hillside shade garden. It really is looking better and better each year. I keep adding plants and garden accents, and also expand the area itself a bit each year. I'm lucky to have a woodland backdrop already in place - I just thin out and limb up trees and add plants. I am really amazed at what you have accomplished with the blank slate that you started with!
I think a lot of us from DG, Cubits, and now ATP have found in each other what had been missing in our gardening enjoyment before. I truly am happiest when sharing with people as enthusiastic as I am. I seem to be an introvert, but come into my own when I'm with or talking to other like-minded folks. We just had another mid-atlantic get together at Jill's house (critterologist) on Saturday to try our hand at hypertufa. What a great time.
My newest project is a conservatory addition to the kitchen, and the kitchen remodel itself. Started last summer, still have quite a few things to do before it is finished. I've had to do it piece meal with money and time, but the good news is that I finally have a functioning sink, stove, and fridge. The sink is just the bar sink at the end of the island - the main sink still needs to be put in place - but even doing dishes in a sink that small still beats doing them in the bathtub LOL!
I have so many ideas and stories for this blog feature, but haven't made the time to keep up with it ARGHH... Hope you are having a great summer.
