I made an update to the standard "dialog box" comment edit area today. For one, after you make your edit it will now return you back to the page where you were when you clicked.

There's also a small chance I fixed the bug that was causing comments to not stick. I'll be curious to know whether this bug is still happening to people.

Sorry, now it doesn't even briefly show up, then disappear, the first time save is clicked. But the info is there, cuz when I click the comment area again the entered material shows up. Click save again and it takes (as before).

Tested more. Returns to 1st page when using edit icon, both Firefox and IE9. Now sometimes "takes" on comment, but not always, in Firefox. Now doesn't take at all in IE9 on comment click (although it did the 1st time I tested). There's an odd refresh screen happening as well - a noticeable reload.

Thank you for testing and letting me know your results even if they are disappointing. It might be best if I disable the popup comment editing tool and just have everyone use the edit icon to edit, since we know that one works perfectly.

Ha, got the popup comment to work with IE9. It has to do with where on the save button I click. If long clicked at the bottom edge of the save button, it works every time. If clicked quickly or anywhere else on the save button, it doesn't take.

In Firefox the popup comment seems to work just fine, even though it didn't last night Shrug!

However, using the edit button does NOT return me to the relevant page after save - goes back to page 1 of list in both IE9 and Firefox

I can't even begin to imagine why it would work depending on where on the save button one clicks.

I'll look at getting the edit button to return you back to where you were.
