Great directions. Including Pixlr for all to use is a wonderful touch. It happens to have become my favorite photo editor since some are way too simple or way too complex. I can't say it enough, I love this site.

Thanks Angie, and Dave. Using a Chromebook means I now use Google Docs and Drive, and Pxlr express is the default, seems easy to use.

A BIG Thank you Angie @BookerC1. Have wanted to try making a banner for some time. Tonight I did it using Pixlr per your directions. One question will the copyright printing show as it does here?

I've never had a banner show the copyright text, but my normal database pics do have it.

If the copyright text isn't on the original photo when you upload it to the banner page it won't have the copyright text.

plantmanager and jon. Copyright wasn't showing while I sized the image but showed up here. May have to use photo I haven't entered into data base. Did I just answer/solve my problem?

Copyright is turned on in your preferences when adding images to a post, shouldn't do that when adding it to the banner feature..

Hey gang! Since PIXLR isn't supported any longer, does anyone have a suggestion on a program to use in it's stead, other than Windows?

Hmm....Well, I've been having trouble getting it to work, so I gave up, and just today I read somewhere else on the NGA (don't remember where, of course ), that it's not supported any longer (perhaps by the company?? ) so I figured that was why. Perhaps I should uninstall and reinstall....

I haven't had any problems with it so far. I'm on Windows 10, using Firefox. It's been a good site. I'm sorry it's not working for you.

Well, I probably should have uninstalled and reinstalled first before putting it out there I'll try that and see if it works!

Okay, so the problem is that the Android app is very limited on resizing photos, so I must have done that on the laptop!!

Dana, I have gotten lazy and never re-size any photos. The site automatically cuts them down to what they want. I just leave them all alone full sized.

Karen, banners have to be resized before uploading.

You're right, Sue. I forgot I do size the banners. It was the other photos in threads and for the database that I was thinking about.

Yeah, I was referring to re-sizing for banners. Sorry I wasn't clear about that!
