I was at death's door for a week or so and couldn't go outside much, so I missed the blooms on some roses, but here are the ones I did manage to photograph.

Akebono is a hybrid tea. It has a very dark bud, which is quite deceptive. It opens up to a cream and pink blend.

Alabama is also a hybrid tea. I've posted an earlier shot of All a'Twitter, a mini-rose, but it was the wrong color, as so many first blooms are. It's actually a nice orange.

Alleluia is a hybrid tea. Ann Henderson is a floribunda.

Antike 89 is a climber and Apricot is a florists rose.

Here's another florists rose, Acropolis, which somehow ended up not in alphabetical order. It's intriguing because it always has a few greenish blooms. Autumn Bliss is a mini-flora.

Belvedere is a hybrid tea and Bering Renaissance is a shrub rose.

Beryl Bach is a hybrid tea and Betty Boop is a floribunda.

Blush is the best florists rose I've ever grown. It's not at all finicky.

Bolivar is a floribunda.

Boomerang is a mini-rose and Boulie's Dream is a grandiflora.

Bronze Sunset is a hybrid tea and Bull's Eye is a hybrid hulthemia.

Canadian Sunset is a hybrid tea and so is Caramba.

Carcassonne Castle is a floribunda and Carefree Delight is a huge shrub rose.

Castilian is a hybrid tea and so is Champion.

I've already posted photos of Change of Heart and Chantilly Lace this year, but I can't resist taking photos of them every time I see them.

Charlies Rose is a hybrid tea.

Cherry-Vanilla is a grandiflora.

Cinnamon Dolce is a hybrid tea and so is Classic Beauty.
[Edit: This is Orange Crush, a large-flowered climber, not Cinnamon Dolce]

Commonwealth Glory and Coronado are hybrid teas.

Creme Caramel is a hybrid tea.

Cottage Rose is an Austin shrub and Curly Pink is a hybrid tea.

I think Decor Arlequin is the prettiest of the Meilland landscape shrubs. Delany Sisters is a grandiflora.

Die Welt is a hybrid tea.

Don Charlton is a hybrid tea.

Donna Darlin' is also a hybrid tea. This photo on the right is the last of my Dorothy Perkins roses. I used to have them all over the garden, but they were once-bloomers and they were plagued by powdery mildew, so I replaced them with Super Dorothy, which reblooms and is disease-resistant.

Dr. Jo is a floribunda and Dream Come True is a grandiflora.

Entente Cordiale is a Pernetiana hybrid tea and Fergus Games is a shrub rose.

Flamenco is a florists rose and Flaming Peace is a hybrid tea.

Florizel and France Libre are hybrid teas.

Frederic Mistral is a hybrid tea and so is Gilbert Becaud.

The Ginger Syllabub I bought from Vintage has had a pink middle for years. I strongly suspected they had sent me Penny Lane instead. Finally, this year it's blooming in the right color. Girl's Night Out is a hybrid tea.

Gruss an Coburg is a Pernetiana and Hawkeye Belle is a Buck shrub.

Hawaiian Sunset is a hybrid tea.

Headliner is a hybrid tea.

Heritage is an Austin shrub and Hondo is a hybrid tea.

Ingrid is a mini-flora.

Iceberg is a climbing floribunda and Isabella Sprunt is a tea rose.

J&P Sangria is a hybrid tea.

That's enough for now. More tomorrow.

*sigh* like always, gorgeous gorgeous. And, of course, like always, you have a rose I can't have (can't get in the US). Bering Renaissance is listed w/HMF as being sold only overseas. Bleh.

Toni, I don't think the Renaissance line of roses was ever sold in this country. I bought Bering Renaissance from Hortico about 10 years ago, when it was still a reliable nursery, and it's still on Hortico's list, but not this year. Pickering was carrying it for a while too.

Cindi, Antike 89 is a rose that people (and I'm one of them) tend to confuse with Handel and Harlekin, which are white with pink edging. The edges on Antike blooms are a luscious dark coral, however, and the edging gradually takes over, until there's hardly any white showing. It's a vigorous climber, with thick canes, and a great rose to own.

Porkpal, Bull's Eye is indeed intriguing. I bought it from S&W this year as one of their "2013 roses" and I'm really glad I did. It reminds me of Ralph Moore's Persian series, but it's a much more substantial rose bush. It comes from an English hybridizer, Peter James. I have another of his roses, 'Blue for You,' and I hope the rest of his roses become available here. This is the one I really, really want:

I saw that Blue For You on one of the German/Netherland sites I was looking at to see if I could get that Renaissance rose. Cliff had it too - I tried to get it but, of course, it was gone. Sad Vintage supposedly has it, but they don't show it as being available or custom root. HMF is slackin' there... Rolling on the floor laughing

Vintage may have sold the last of the 'Blue for You' plants it got from Cliff and no one there seems to have the energy or wish to root more cuttings of iffy roses. They seem to be concentrating on the traditional bestsellers. When it first appeared on their list of available roses, I didn't even order it because I assumed it would be snapped up within the first few hours. When it was still on the list weeks later, I ordered one. Vintage appears to have lost its core clientele for unique roses, or maybe those clients already own all of the roses ever offered by Vintage and Eurodesert.

Thanks, Cindi. I'm glad too. I still get bone tired after doing very little, but I think that goes with the territory.

Moving on, Jean Bach Sisley is a china rose and Jeri Jennings is a hybrid musk.

Jessika is a gorgeous hybrid tea.

Jiminy Cricket is a floribunda and Jolly is a hybrid tea.

Judy Garland is a floribunda and Just Joey is a hybrid tea.

Julia's Rose, a floribunda, is one of my much-loved russet roses.

Ketchup & Mustard is a floribunda and I think it looks best from the side.

Key Largo and Lady Mavis Pilkington are hybrid teas.

Langdale Chase is a floribunda and Lasting Love is a hybrid tea.

Lava Gold is a floribunda and Living is a hybrid tea.

Lorise is a hybrid tea.

Louise Estes is also a hybrid tea.

Lucetta is an Austin shrub and Lucky Piece is a hybrid tea.

Lykke Dazla is a hybrid tea and Lyric is a shrub rose.

Maid of Honor is a hybrid tea and Maid of Honor, Cl. is a large-flowered climber and does not appear to be a sport of the hybrid tea or any other relative of it.

Maria McGredy and Masquerade are hybrid teas.

Mark Sullivan is a hybrid tea and it's one of those highly entertaining roses that change color dramatically. It starts out almost red and fades to a coral-orange and yellow blend.

Mavourneen is a Buck shrub and Memoriam is a hybrid tea.

Miyabi is a hybrid tea and Morden Ruby is a wonderfully freckled shrub rose.

Movement is a climber and Mrs. B.R. Cant is a tea rose.

Natasha Monet is a hybrid tea and Neon Cowboy is a mini.

New Dawn is a hybrid wichurana and Nicole Carol Miller is a grandiflora.

October Moon is a floribunda and Oranges 'n' Lemons is a shrub.

Osiria and Over the Moon are hybrid teas.

Paloma Blanca is a Buck grandiflora and Panorama is a hybrid tea.

Paradise and Paradise Found are hybrid teas.

Pearl Harbor is a hybrid tea and Pensioners Voice is a floribunda.

Picture Perfect is a hybrid tea and Pink Flower Carpet is a shrub rose.

Pink Powderpuff is a hybrid bracteata and Pinnacle is a floribunda.

Polka is a climber and the second photo shows one side of the entire bush of Pomponella. This photo is an argument in favor of grafting (or perhaps against grafting, if you're into small rose bushes). Most of the own-root nurseries are selling Pomponella and describing it as a compact bush, about 2.5 feet tall and 2 feet wide. That's a 4-foot section of fence holding up part of my grafted Pomponella. If those poor droopy canes had better support, they'd be 6-7 feet tall. The bush is also about 6-7 feet wide. That's the difference grafting makes, even on a "compact" floribunda.

Prairie Sunset is a Buck shrub and Premier Bal is a hybrid tea.

Princess Margaret Rose and Princesse de Monaco are hybrid teas.

I've already posted a photo of Pure Poetry, a floribunda, earlier this year, but there can never be too many photos of Pure Poetry. Purple Heart is also a floribunda.

Purple Splash is a climber and Raubritter is a hybrid macrantha.

Like always, too gorgeous. My Paradise isn't that pale.. always much more stronger in colors. I found that my Pure Poetry (I think) survived (hasn't bloomed yet), so I'm hoping that it'll be that gorgeous too! What a difference good soil, humidity, and gentle weather makes!

I hope to finish this tonight now that I'm on the R's.

Reconciliation is a hybrid tea and Red Eden is a climber.

Regatta is a hybrid tea and Rejoice is a grandiflora.

Remember Me is a hybrid tea and Rose de Rescht is a Portland rose.

Rosette Delizy is a tea rose and Ruffle's Dream is a polyantha.

I remember being very excited about buying Salmon Drops, a hybrid tea. I must have been seduced by a pretty picture because this is a very boring rose.

Scorcher is a climbing hybrid tea and Sea Pearl is a floribunda.

Seashell is a hybrid tea and Sexy Rexy is a floribunda.

Sheer Bliss is a hybrid tea and Sheila MacQueen is one of those weird-colored roses. It's described as yellow and white, but it usually looks green.

Silver Star is a hybrid tea and Singin' the Blues is a floribunda.

Sonia is a grandiflora and perhaps the best-known florists rose.

Spellbound and Starshine are hybrid teas.

Strike It Rich is a grandiflora and Sue Hipkin is a hybrid tea.

I have two roses named Summer Dream. The one on the left is a hybrid tea and the one on the right is a floribunda.

Super Dorothy, my replacement for Dorothy Perkins, has petals that quill when they're close to shatter point. Very interesting. Susan Daniel is a floribunda.

Susan Massu, a hybrid tea, starts out with lots of white and gradually loses all of it.

Sweet Harmony is a hybrid tea and Sweet Vivien is a floribunda.

Tea Time is a hybrid tea and Teeny Bopper is a small shrub rose.

Thanks to Sue is a mini and That's Jazz is a climber.

The Lady is a hybrid tea and Thriller is a florists rose.

Titanic is a floribunda and Tournament of Roses is a grandiflora.

There are two hybrid teas named Traviata and both were hybridized by Alain Meilland, but about 35 years apart. This is the older one, which is red and white. The new one is solid dark red. Trump Card, the rose on the right, is also a hybrid tea and is Cliff Orent's sport of New Era, which everyone else calls Rosie O'Donnell, but I'd rather not.

Oops! I almost forgot about Tom Brown, a floribunda. I love russet roses, so I kept buying this one from Vintage Gardens. After I had managed to kill three of them in a row, I decided to never try again, but then Heirloom started carrying it. I was never a great fan of Heirloom Rose Nursery, but this Tom Brown has been alive for more than a year, so Heirloom has come up in my personal ratings.

Valencia and Veldfire are hybrid teas.

Vendee Imperiale is a hybrid tea and Violet Carson is a floribunda.

Victoriana is another russet floribunda and pretty much the same story as Tom Brown. I killed three of them from Vintage in a row and gave up, but then Cliff offered it in his close-out sale. Cliff's plant has stayed alive. What does this tell us about Vintage's propagation practices?

Waiheke is a grandiflora and Whimsy is a mini.

World War II Memorial Rose, a hybrid tea, is another rose I've already included in one of my other threads this year, but it's so pretty. Yantai was also included in the last thread, but in its full-blown yellow guise. It starts out with very little yellow.
