The orange throat on Africa glows! I really like the large green throat that covers so much of the face of Green Spill. Good choices, Mary.

Thanks, Ladies!

And those are both straight out of the camera, with no editing at all. Africa is actually a little darker than it looks in the pic

Others from today (click to embiggen)

Stop the Show (I think I got that right). Doris gave me this one in April, I think.

Victorian Ribbons was my free daylily for being a visitor to my daylily club last Feb -- it has a special place in my heart because that was my first-ever exposure to daylily clubs, which is kind of like when I met my first greyhound. Her scape was bent over, so it's not a very good pic.

This is my "Red Soldier" -- the one I can't find in a database, but am in love with. What a performer! She's been blooming for at least a week now, cause I posted a picture of her on 6/13 to see if we could figure out who she was.
THIS plant is going to drag me into hybridizing - I had NO interest in hybridizing, but I love her and want to see what she can do with kids.

I saw Africa as a random plant right after I joined the Daylily Addiction Group here. Then Doris told me she saw it on the Lily Auction, and after it went to a higher price than she thought it should, she contacted the seller and arrange to buy a couple (she wanted it, too). She already had an order with them, so she added my one plant into her order, and I picked it up the next time I was at her house.
