It looks like a Stachys to me, not a Salvia.

I guess it could also be a different cultivar, but figuring out which one might be difficult. Shrug!

Please its not that important.but I thought it might also be a speedwell when I took a sample ( or 2 ) from K's garden in April. I went back in mid May to see what the flower looked like and she had dug everything with a stem and flower a-top. She didnt like the look.
There is no telling what some peoples tastes are. She like things low and plain. She plans to dig all iris, mums, butterfly weed, salvias, lemondrops and just have grass and hostas.
To each his own.
She only has 1 lily so at least thats not much of a tragedy.
I did a desighn job for her deck.

I'd say that it's stachys officinalis, other than that it's difficult to tell for certain.

I tip my hat to you.

It looks like mine did last year - its first in my garden, but it's hard to be sure of the cultivar..

Color-wise, my blooms were a lighter pink/violet last year...this year they're definitely darker (more deeply saturated).
