The Hosta Society has the Hosta Library and the Iris Society has the Iris Encyclopedia both of which are helpful in IDing a plant. Does the Daylily Society have anything comparable? The reason I ask is that I have had this daylily in my garden for many years and recall the name as being something like Cuvier River.....spelling is probably wrong. Anyone familiar with a Daylily with a name similar. I guess it really doesn't matter as I love the plant anyway but am curious. I thought that the name[?] might help as I'm certain it is something like that.

Hi Paul - you have almost the right spelling; enough so that i could find it in the special daylily database by just entering "cu" in the search field:

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Cuivre River')

Very beautiful daylily - hope you'll upload one of those pics to the database entry (easy to do, just scroll all the way down and look for a hot-link to upload) Rolling my eyes. btw, that purple DL in your profile is also a stunner ... what is it?

The main daylily database here is at:

The Daylilies Database

hope this helps!

Thank you so much....not a bad memory for an old guy. The picture in my profile is actually Japanese Iris Lion King. Look at it on the data base. I love DL's but only grow a few so I enjoy every ones pictures.
