I have this plant in my woodland garden. I don´t remember who gave me this plant and have no idea what it is. Can you please help me?

Maybe a type of Euphorbia?

This is Iceland, I don´t know if Euphorbia would survive here.
Someone whispered in my ear: Rhodiola rhodantha. Do you think that could be it?

The leaves don't look long enough for Rhodiola rhodantha. Could you get close shots of the flowers and leaves? It's gorgeous whatever it is!

Do the flowers open out to flat heads? Look at Rhodiola linearifolia and check to see if the leaves and flowers match ..

Sharon, I have had this one or a few years, just sitting on a heap of soil with other perennials i have brought there and some of them I have no idea what are. But this one somehow looks special

It's an amazing plant, one I think I might have to seek out!

The first thing I found when checking it out is that it may be a medicinal plant as well; sadly, I think our summers would be too hot for it.

Rhodiola rosea, a relative of the above plant, grows wild here, and people also have it in gardens. In some arctic countries it is grown for medicinal uses and sold in pill form, called Arctic Root.

I think you are right about the name Rhodiola semenovii. These are the last photos I took of this plant..
