The high heat and humidity of summer has caused an explosion of growth on everything in the greenhouse! Palms, heliconias, gingers, calatheas, orchids, aroids, plumeria, hoya....everything is just going crazy!

Holy moly! That's great. How big is your greenhouse?

Its about 1750 sq feet. Almost 20 feet at the gable, 12 feet at the top of the side wall

Gorgeous photos, Gina! I would love a greenhouse that size, but I have to be content with my little one for now.

I had a Juliana hobby house at the old house. The zoning ordinances and the Historical Preservation board wouldn;t let me build anything big. But out here, we can do whatever we want!

That's wonderful. We try to stay away from any HOA's or restrictions.

All I had to do was meet the setbacks from the road and edge of my property and have the electrical inspected

Ha so sweet! I have not been out there for a few days I pulled my back out. I just sent a smaller version of this Anthurium pseudospectabile down to Miami as a trade. Can't want to get my end of the swap...so exciting to be trading again

Oh I can;t remember now...I got a Marcgravia, a dischidia, a palm, an anthurium, several terrarium plants....that's been a while!

Young rogue Anthurium clavigerum roaming across the floor looking for something to climb...probably end up on the Bauhinia tree


Epipremnum Cebu Blue has climbed high enough to start to fenestrate...one of about 100 vines I have roaming wild in here




Cercestes mirabilis that I got in a trade at summer's end has been growing steadily, newest leaf not hardened off yet
