I know so little about the places that my orchids are from that I decided to start a Habitat Forum. I will post links as I find them to enlighten myself and others about the orchids we grow or the orchids we lust for and where they live.

This provides the species names and by state, which I thought was interesting.I know this is supposed to be a photo gallery, but thought this was a place to start and If anyone can find a site listing containing photos please add it.

Carol,
scroll all the way down to "Various types of wild flowers & pitcher plants found in Maga Nature Garden". The one on the left right under the writing - I think that is the same orchid depicted on FB, but to see a single bloom with a person underneath, it was HUGE.
The name Phaius, perhaps Phaius callosus comes up in posts to the picture.
