I have several plants to add to my list but can't figure how to do this. I have a clematis NOID that I want to add.

Click on the data base.....Type in Clematis...a page will come up....in the upper left part of page click on "view the full list of plants"....The first on the list will say clematis...this is where to add your noid. If it is very distinctive there is a small chance someone may identify it.

Or, I'd try the ID forum first. Those folks are good. Your noid might not be a noid for long.

I have clicked on the "Start Your Own List", then clicked on "Add a plant to your list", but nothing happens. Can someone tell me what else I need to do? Thank you! Vickie

Go to the database.
Search for a plant, click on it.
On the far right, click the green box that says "add this plant to your list".
Then it will as you to choose from "have", "used to have", or "want".
Just follow through the steps.
Finally, click "add plant to your list"

Thanks, Karen. I have tried that too, but the "add plant to your list" is cut off. All I see is "add plant to y" in the blue box. I tried to click on the "+" sign but that didn't work. I also tried different screen resolutions and different zoom levels. I turned off the pop-up blocker thinking that may have been the problem. I am not sure why I can't get it to work.

Vickie, I am going to look into this. In the meantime, do the blue buttons on this page work for you?:

Sorry Dave, but nothing happens there either. The mouse pointer arrow turns into a hand and the blue box turns yellow, but that is all it does. Left clicking on the box after it turns yellow doesn't do anything. Thanks for all your help.

Dave, I tested this out in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Opera with no problem. But it does the same thing for me in IE if that helps.

Thanks for trying, Karen. I'm beginning to think that it might be a setting on my computer. Others seem to have been able to update their lists today. Confused

IE again... it's true that IE is my big weakness and a lot of my stuff doesn't play well with that browser.

Well at least we know what the problem is. I'll see if I can get another browser loaded.

Thanks for your help.

Vickie, I'm sure that it'll work great for you in Firefox or Chrome (plus, both of those browsers are infinitely better than that old relic IE. Smiling )

OT, but I recently read the EU (or some agency of theirs) is suing MS because between 20 and 30 million Windows users still cannot use a browser other than IE. True? Blinking

I found out that I could add plants to my list on the computer in our living room (we have it hooked up the the TV for watching Netflix), so I used it. Really don't understand the difference between the computer I am using now and the one in the living room because they are both using IE. Had the same problem a few months ago with documents opening in Adobe Reader. Wouldn't open on this computer, but would on the other one. May have to do the same thing we did then to see what the setting differences are between the two computers.

Good, I'm glad you got it to work for you.

As for the differences in the computers, no clue here.

Do both computers have the same operating system? Sometimes that can be the culprit. Smiling

Thanks, Woofie. I didn't realize that the computer I am on now has OS Windows 7 Home Premium. The computer that is hooked up to our TV is Windows Vista. Strange that an older OS is doing something that the newer one isn't. I also found out the other day that when I click on the green "thumbs up' symbol, that doesn't work on this computer either. Confused

Hmmm, that doesn't make any sense to me! My laptop is running Windows 7 and I have no problems at all! I would have expected the problem to be with Vista, as it's notorious for being persnickety. Confused
