I found this one curious

Really? I smell Anise.

I know we have S. odorata here but does Ponthieva racemosa grow in the northeast? Funny I never bent down to smell the Spiranthes!! I can easily forget!

Paul Martin Brown does not list Ponthieva in his "Wild Orchids of the North Eastern US".
