I am looking for feedback from those of you who grow Ville de Lyon . I read on a site that it was not a prolific bloomer.
How would you rate the amount of blooms you see on your vine?

Thanks

Chris: I was hoping more people would have it so I could determine whether to spend the $$ or not. I was looking at this one or
Madame Julia Correvon as a replacement for Rebecca next to Avant Garde. Rebecca will get moved to another spot.

I have one and it doesn't do well but I think b/c it is a horrible area that get trampled by the dogs and not enough sun. Mme JC is near by in a better area and blooms alot.

I have both Mme Julia and VDL. Mme Julia does far better than VDL. Not sure if location has something to do with it as I located VDL in a part sun area. VDL is supposed to fade in full sun. Mme Julia is in full sun for me.

I have Ville de Lyon, and love it. It's a great bloomer, although not much on the repeat. It's lovely, and it gets pretty tall here.

Thanks for the information. I need a tall one for the trellis and a small type bloom so it doesn't overwhelm Avant Garde but stays in the similar color.

I think Ville de Lyon would work.

Mine is about 10 years old and it fills my obelisk every year. Love it.

I have one in more shade, it gives a nice 1st bloom then stops. Right next to it is another in dappled shade, does well and some repeat blooming. Right next to that one is Carminita in almost full sun ... This gal is a prolific bloomer.
