A few photos of Dendrobium discolor which grows along the coast of northeastern Australia.

Growing in the coastal sand dunes barely above high tide mark.

Not being able to find my photos of the Cymbidium canaliculatum plant mentioned above I went out again and took some more. This plant is on a low dead branch of a tree. Too low, because as you can see some of the dead pseudobulbs are the results of fire. This plant will always be at risk.

A photo from its better side. You can see how difficult these plants could be to spot, especially when they're high up in tree tops.

I especially love the perspective of the second shot. You have to wear "special" eyes to spot these!
