[...does anybody have a clue what these two are at all? A friend brought me them from a boot fair and I would love to put a name to the leaves.]

Pia, sorry I can't help you with ID. I do see it isn't a sempervivum, but is one of what we call tender succulents (not winter hardy). When it matures and sends out blooms we might be able to ID it. Thumbs up

It does remind me of the Jelly Bean sedum but without the color. I am terrible at id'ing sedums, but when you see just how similar some of them are....
