Right here in our small community, we didn't lose power but all around us is still without electricity. Our daughter and youngest grandchild(age 14)came over to borrow coolers from us. I thought they were going to bring their food to put in our freezer in the garage, but she cooked up a lot on their new grill. We called at least 25 stores to see if they were opened and if they had any bagged ice left..Most places never opened because they didn't have electricity or phone service. Parts of our community suffered a lot of damage, trees and even roof off several outdoor buildings, had copper roof on it and it threw it onto the lawn all twisted up like a piece of art or sculpture. Monday will be a hugh clean up day for the landscaping crew. Some worked today. Another storm is expected tonight..Hundreds of thousands are without power in Md. and Va. Only one of my flowerbeds had damage, the winds which were clocked at Dulles Airport in Va. at 71 mph flatten my coneflowers, gladiolas and larkspurs in one flowerbed by the living room window but didn't damage any of the other flowerbeds..I tried to get my daughter to come here and spend the night and she says they will make out ok.

Jen, i heard about those kids being killed in a tent in backyard last evening on the news. So sad..My daughter is still without power as far as we know. We offered for her and 14 yr. old to come stay with us last night but they chose not to.
Her boyfriend had power in Springfield, Va. and she and the 14 yr. daughter went there. son was with his Dad and he had power and the 20 yr. old was accounted for.
Son has power back on his house, just not home phone but he has his cell phone, sisters are accounted for.

We had some high winds and lost power for a couple of hours. Not last night but the storm a couple of days ago knocked out power in Gloucester. I had ordered some Iris from Brent and Becky's Bulbs and when I called them the recording said they had been without power for two days and had just now got the internet back, but was having problems with the phones. I will try to call them again Monday, I have to give them a new credit card number, the bank froze the old one because of a fraud incident. Sad

No problems up here. We did have to pack up all generators at work today to send to south Jersey.
