So have any of you come up with some new creative ways to use your semps for this new year of 2013?

Look at this cute wooden box with a fascinating and colorful collection of hardy succulents, mostly semps. http://www.squawmountaingarden...
Makes me wish the weather was warmer and not raining.

Well, my table garden is still in the planning stage though I have purchased the wood and hardware to construct saw horses. On Feb. 5 I will purchase some of those rectangular planters that I will work in between some of the boards to provide a few deeper areas. (on that day I can get my senior discount at Freddies, save 10%). Anyway, there will be some semps, some sedums, and a lot of other stuff planted on the table. Maybe a small area for a little crevice subsection for some alpines... I've had all winter to think about this!

I'll be documenting the construction with my camera. I already have a folder of photos just for this project. Somehow I don't expect it to look real great this first year but if it is ok with you I will eventually start a new thread documenting the construction and planting, sometime this summer.

OK I will just tease you all with this again, the book that gave me the ideas. I've posted this before but it is now buried deep in some obscure thread. Easier to repost and some of you may not have seen it:

Chris, that is one book I can't help drooling over Drooling I have quite a library of garden books, I just love books, especially ones with lots of pictures. Little and Lewis's "A Garden Gallery" is another favorite.

Chris, if you go to the back of the book to that last photograph it will give you a pretty good idea of what I have in mind... DROOL ALERT!!

Oh yes - it's so beautiful!!! I can't wait to see yours! Drooling

I like to two Debra Baldwin books too: Succulent Container Gardens and Designing with Succulents. I guess she's got another one coming out this spring sometime. I've got a ton of other garden books too.
