I think these posts covered about everything needed to know
to grow potatoes. Now Rita, as you know, there are red, pink, white,
blue, and yellow ones for you to try, and many varieties of each.
You could really get into the crazies. I'm just teasing you too.
Just love seeing the photos of your veggies, flowers, and shrubs.
Thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them.

Honestly these veggie crazies are NOT new. I grew veggies here before I ever started redoing the garden into what I have today. And I grew veggies all during the garden redos and additions. But it was just so much work and as I have the redo done (well, I am always moving something each year) then I could have more time to spend on the veggies again.

I can't get really excited about potatoes. Now tomatoes are another matter!

Those blooms are so pretty. I love the soft pastel and form on that first one best.

Potatos. Love small new ones with fresh peas and carrots with a white sauce. Mom used to fix them and it takes me back to good times.

I just plant them with everything else but probably should be hilling them. Problem is by the time it would matter we have eaten all the little ones. One time I grew them under hay just laying them on top of the dirt and used Miracle Grow on them. Had lots of good size potatoes. Rita you have all that mulch you could put a few under here and there.

Would they grow just under the mulch?

Beneficial Sister is really pretty! The photos of your trip to Lake Huron look very cooling. It's hard for me to imagine anyone wearing a sweatshirt this time of year, so it must be cool there. But I guess later in the day it's warm enough for swimming.

Thanks Debra!!! Oh my daughter is cold all the time. I thought it was very warm myself. The water was quite cold but it was in the upper 80's.

I am enjoying that one too Shirlee. I got it in a trade last year and even though it is an older one I wanted it because of its later bloom.

Someone on here asked me to give them a heads up when I listed Remembering Miss Martha. It is now on the Lily Auction. I don't remember who asked me to list it.

The striking color combination of Royal Jester makes for lovely photos.
