Could easily be lack of food/fertilizer, specifically nitrogen. May easily also be from lack of water combined with high heat. Are you amongst those of us dealing with extreme temps right now? And do you remember what you used for fertilizer, and how much?
How old, how big, and what kind of corn would be factors that would be helpful to know also.
