Ya know Evan, I should probably take a look at that duplicate plant report. Since I changed how latin names work in the system, that report might be very much out of date. Let me see what I can do before you go too far into it.

Okay, I rewrote the duplicate checker, and it now runs in real time!! Meaning I don't have to refresh it.

It's at a new location:

http://garden.org/plants/manag...

I also updated the link in the infobox in this forum.

Check it out and see what you think.

I went through it with my browser's search engine, looking for "Brassica".

However, I don;'t know enough to guess whether two Brassicas with the same cultivar name but different sepcies names are:
- mistaken species names
- older species names that have since been corrected or widely agreed upon
- two real, different plants of different specues that happen to have the same cultivar name.

Short form: I dunno.

A little cumbersome with old latin cv. names, alba, etc., but it serves as a nice reminder that they were used across the spectrum. Revised/deleted entry and works very smoothly. Real time is great. 1 less pester. Green Grin!
