I just want to call to the attention of all you doubles lovers what I think is the most interesting double that Lilyconnection currently has on the Lily Auction. It looks like several of the petals were cut by pinking shears, and it's the most yummy pastel peach-apricot color with interesting little petaloids, etc. It looks really unusual to me, although you might be familiar with it. Very interesting!

Thanks for posting. That's what you call sculpted cristate so it's not a double even though it looks like it. It would go good being crossed with Fred's sculpted seedling.

I don't think I want to work with these, there just not consistent enough. He even states in the auction it starts this form after the plant is larger. Mine did it all last year, then I moved it and it hasn't did it this year.

I agree I love the form but the color does nothing for me.

Well, that's certainly a bummer for you, Fred, and I can sure see why you'd be reluctant to continue with that type. They probably need to be settled really well in good surroundings with lots of fertilizer so they can cristate (?) away...

I have heard people say that before about the ones that cristate, they need to settle in or clump up before it will do this. FROM THE SEA (Gaskins) frequently does what TIKI GOD shows but it is very inconsistent because it isn't on every petal when it does, maybe one or maybe two with a bloom here and there with it on all 3.

I am finding up here in the north that a lot of the semi-evs and evs need at least 3 years before they look good and have normal flower and scape size.
