A friend took this picture of a plant growing on a tree trunk in Hawai'i. So striking, I'd love to know what it is.

Could it be Drynaria rigidula or the cultivar Dynaria rigidula 'Whitei', Basket Fern?

I probably won't, although it is very beautiful. My yard is geared to dry and sunny. It wouldn't love it here...
