This morning (actually noon), the fans in the attic woke me up. I haven't heard that noise in so long that it sounded alien to me. They're set to start working when the temperature in the attic reaches 80 degrees. Believe me, the temperature outside is nowhere near 80, more like upper 60s, but the days are getting longer, so the warmth has a chance to build up.

I promptly trotted all of the hibiscus, mandevilla, clivia, and brugmansia pots out of the solarium into the garden.

wow. And right now, it's overcast, breezy, & 41degs & dropping, with a chance of snow today, tonight, tomorrow, tomorrow night (2-4" predicted), Friday (just cloudy), Fri night, Sat, Sat night, Sun, AND Sunday night.

Spring? What is that? *sigh* I hate this time of year.. I get so depressed. Sad Colorado is so grey & brown in February (versus brown all the other parts of the year, or black with fires...). And, if the weather patterns hold, we're predicted to get another massive blizzard like we did during Mar 2003, where we got close to 3' in 1 day.

I don't want to make all of you cry, but I spent the entire day outside in a sundress. I knew I used to have a tan by the end of February. Ten more days of this weather and I will.

I really should have stayed inside and cleaned the house. Poor Mike is going to see it for the first time just when I've taken in nine feral cats who are really stupid about litter boxes. Even my home's usual smell of tobacco smoke probably won't be strong enough to camouflage the cat smell.

My hope is that he thinks of the crazy cat lady on 'The Simpsons' when he pictures me. My house and I look a little bit better by comparison.

*sigh* and while you're running around in a sundress, this is what I have going on right now. I just took this picture less than 3 minutes ago.

Here's another shot along side my work building. IN case it's not too clear, it's snowing like crazy. :(

No sundress today, Toni. 57 degrees at 4:00 in the afternoon. It was a three-layer day and I was wishing for another whenever I stopped working vigorously.

I hope it's the kind of rain we had here last week. I was out in it for hours and barely got wet. It was so gentle that it didn't even carry as much moisture as a heavy fog.

:P - I'm wearing my heavy boots today.. spent the first 1/2 hour of my morning shovelling the driveway. Again. Well, free moisture.

Zuzu, if you get this message before I arrive later this morning, there's no need to worry about the cats. I've lived with them all my life and have two of them now, and get a few visitors in the garden, including New York's largest and loudest cat - one named Sarah. My only concern is I didn't pack my sundress...
