I love the flower. Looks like a Dupont "Bon Vivant". Can't wait for a few of my new "babies" to start budding next year.

I just love that hot pink against the orange sherbet. Never would have put those two colors together.

Your seedlings pics are stunning. My daughter lived in Dayton a few yrs ago so I am familar with your area. I am guessing you have a large GH lol. Do any of the hardy hibiscus have such vivid colors?

Hi Teresa,

We don't have any hardy ones with as great of colors as the tropicals ones have. Nor have I seen any with the wow factor like the tropical one's have. We just moved so they are all in a sun room, previously we kept them all in the garage over the winter months.

Patrick, I LOVE your seedlings! Do you sell them or take cuttings? The yellow one on page 1 is stunning and the dark burgundy is eyecatching and more!! If you trade plants, please check out my ATPs list.

Wow! You have some amazing and beautiful blooms! I have a lot of the Rosa-sinensis as well. Every year I hand pollinate and have yet to get one to take! Is there perhaps a best time of day to hand pollinate? I would love to do some crosses.

Here are a few of mine .. perhaps we can swap cuttings. Top - White Magic, Love Story, Bottom - Cherry Appaloosa and Sun Showers

I have found the best time to pollinate is when temps are around the 80's if it gets too hot they usually fall off. Also pollinate in the morning and move the plant where the sun won't dry up the pollen. We still have 8 more seedlings that haven't bloomed yet and I just planted 4 more and they all have sprouted.

Nice, Patrick! What is the greenish/yellowish/brownish colored one in your second post? I used to have one similar several years ago ('Pond Scum'), but I don't think the flower was quite that large. I like the odd colored ones. :)

Hi Carter,

The photo I think you are talking about is Starry night, it's one of our seedlings, It's more of a brown with a really good bush.

Nice - I love the brown flowers. We're putting in a pool this summer, so I'm "scouting" plants for the new beds. I'd like to put in at least a couple of hibiscus, but I haven't settled on anything just yet.
