Neil I don't know how you do it. Another wonderful trip through one of the world's most outstanding flower shows.
I fell in love with Iris veriscolor 'Kermesina'.

I think the Best In Show Garden won by Brewin Dolphin, was my favorite. I found it restful and pleasing.

Was this part of the Gold metal winner? I could not tell but love the Birds Of Paradise and the Anthurium with that wonderful green plant in front of them is so wonderful.

I snipped this so I could show you what I meant.

I am a bit shocked at all your wonderful comments at the moment. For those who knew I had a bad accident on Friday 13th of January, and had not been out of the house apart from the Hospital till the Chelsea Flower Show.
So it was a big test for me, in that heat and with thousands of people. If you ever wish to loose weight go into the Great Pavilion for an hour and walk round taking pictures, you will lose 10 pounds an hour!
The constant watering of the plants and the water gardens plus the heat, and the people makes it like the hottest sauna you have ever been in. The only difference is the divine scent inside it. Yes you can go to the beer tent and have some shade and a pint. but step back inside the Pavilion and that evaporates in seconds. It was a long hard and hot day for me, but it was worth it as Chelsea is special to me.
Now you spurred me on to get doing Part 2.
Thank you all.
Regards.
Neil.

Neil, I didn't know you were in the hospital. I hope you are fully recovered now.

As you know I always look forward to your next article. The only down side of it is that I don't loose 10 pounds while reading them. Group hug

Dear Lynn, when my head hit the brick wall I should have been in Hospital but as usual I was stubborn and would not go! Next morning I had no choice as things were so bad, and then they told me off for not going in the first place. Sarah was not best pleased with me or my own Doctor, but what do Doctors know anyway? No I have not fully recovered as they told me that may take years as severe head injuries are hard to diagnose. I also cracked my hip and bent my metal arm. They could or did not want to do surgery as my poor head was in a state, so my arm can stay bent and my hip is much better on its own.
It was the constant headaches they were worried about, so put me on tablets which disagreed with me, so I did not take them and told them so. It seems it will take forever, but if I can still get out and bring a bit of happiness to you all, that is all I could wish for.
Group hug
Neil.
p.s. Cherie I will tell you how they can get all the plants blooming at the same time when you are a big girl and 21! Rolling on the floor laughing

I agree You really should listen to your lovely wife Neil. I speak as a wife, we want to keep our man around as long as possible.

Vic laughs, but Neil could make a lot of money if we could loose ten pounds by reading his articles. Maybe if I used the treadmill while reading them?

I am looking forward to the second installment for 2012. Hurray!

Dear Linda, I could have done with you there! A nice cold glass of wine or a Belgium beer whilst admiring that lot, that would go down a treat I think!
I would have taken you for Fish & Chips as well.
