Not happy this morning to see we are now under a Hurricane Warning! It'll be a busy day tidying up my yard. So much 'cute stuff' hanging and lying around.... Shrug!
And laundry, must do laundry. And make a pot of chili or something....
Well if we do lose power we have a generator and a portable a/c unit for at least the bedroom...

I hope everyone stays safe!

My prayers to you all to stay safe, plants can be replaced, keep hoping some of the rain would head this way.

Not so much worried about my plants than that pots etc will become projectiles.
Well DH and I have just boarded up half the house. I'm going to head to the grocery store next - that should be fun.

Take care all of you, I know you know the drill and I hope this is one of those times when you do all the prep and not much happens. Be sure and check in with us when you can so we know all is well.

Makes sense to me. If we ever get one here in Merida it will be my fish I am most worried about, then my plants, then us.

Robert - come on down, there is plenty of chili Hilarious!
Apples, tuna and triscuits aren't going to be all that appetizing after 3 days with no power!
Oh and we treated ourselves to Thai food last night so we have leftovers of that too! Hurray!

...I made ribs yesterday. I guess we all had the bug for some cooking! Hilarious!
My plummies and adenium babies are safe, but aside from a pretty gloomy looking day, it's been pretty great. Slowing down... I need to do that more often!

It turned into a non-event here and so we consider all the preparations a 'trial run' for when we might have to do it again.
And I have plenty of chili for the rest of the week. Big Grin

Meanwhile I am sending many good thoughts to all in the path of this storm.

Grey gloomy skys still here. I'm glad we didn't get drenching rains, I'd be scouting for rot.

I did have a plant that got one rotted stem, last week. The rest of the plant is fine. I think it's because I daily watered, just a little, that side of the plant. Hum, and it's a double white that's supposed to be fragrant. I'll sure be happy once "they" make an Adenium that is completely fragrant. Lemme find some kind of photo---

(HI, JIM!!!) (AND Wilfred!!)

sideways. owell, prices here are rediculous!
Thumb of 2012-08-27/coconut/b68020
.Click this photo to see the whole plant. $90????? for a plain flower?

Not a pretty well-balanced plant but the double white fragrant part will drive the price up no doubt.
I paid $ 30 for a very small yellow a couple of months ago but it has been blooming its head off, so it was well worth it to me.

Wow! Those are really high prices! I haven't been in the US for almost 6 years now and I'm thinking I couldn't afford to live there anymore.

Glad you were missed by the storm, I know it is a pain to do all that and then nothing happens but it is always better than the opposite Hilarious!
