Springcolor, I think they should overwinter in your area, unless it's too wet. Shrug! What part of the state do you live in? They grow all over the place here, I always call them wild lupines. nodding

That should work ok because you can move it around and protect it when it freezes. joy on the daylily forum lives in Kalama, Wa., she has about 500 potted daylilies, Blinking she is zone 8, just a little warmer than you.
