Never seen this before and both scapes are on the same cv. The first one mid June and second mid July.

I have seen this on a few. Sometimes the scape gets stuck in-between a fan or stuck in the foiliage when it's trying to grow and it will twist like that because it can't push itself free. At least that's what I have observed on mine that does it.

Ooooh, I've got one. It did a double curl. Seedling.
Yes, it is hot and dry in the seedling field. No water, no compost. No wonder I have to wait 5 yrs to see some blooms, huh?
