You are right about it being a beauty but I would have no clue as to ID it. There are thousands of Vandas coming from southeast Asia and it is next to impossible to ID one. Just enjoy it and thanks for sharing. I really like it.

I'm a newbie to the world of orchids, and this the first orchid I bought that didn't come with blooms, so I'm super happy to see it blooming! I purchased this at the Redland Orchid festival; and it was the only vandas I purchased without a tag, so it was worth a try. At any rate, I will enjoy its beauty ID or not. Smiling

If you remember the vendor, you could send them the photo for ID. I have done this many times with good results.

It's going to be difficult, I think. I found the tag (it was hidden in the basket) but when I googled the name, it turned out to be a different type: a red instead of that gorgeous yellow/orange hue.

What does the tag say?

Vanda Ratchaburi Rouge Beauty... but it doesn't look anything like it.

I queried the name, and this is what came up, from the Majikorchid website (I didn't purchase mine from them):

Thumb of 2012-07-28/MamaIve12/c92675

So, you see why I feel I'm out of luck trying to find out its name.

It often helps to have the name to give some direction. I agree
