Because of the intense heat of the Colorado Summer, I needed to keep my new sempervivum plantings in the shade.

About the best place for them was in the dappled shade just outside my front door, under a big tree. Since I moved them there they are doing OK,
Although the heat is pretty high in the afternoons. It seemed the best place for a nusery school for Semps.

I am hoping they become established so I can place them in other spots around my townhouse.

The advantage to this arrangement is that they are all in their own little beds and I am beginning now to be able to identify them by name.

Perhaps I can create a planter with several of of their offspring in the spring.

I am sure they will play nice together. Hilarious!

They are looking happy with the new arrangements Sis. Bet they really enjoy the shade, with all the heat and dry air you have had.

Keep moving from spot to spot (under tree) trying to find the best environment for them

Am hoping they survive Sad

Pacific Knight doesn't look like it's crowning. Just has the bottom leaves pointing down. It will outgrow that when your weather moderates.

Your Nouveau Pastel definitely has heat damage, but will be fine. It also will grow out of this condition when weather moderates. I would gently sift/pour chicken grit into all the empty spaces between the rosettes. That will help protect the sensitive roots that are trying to form.
