It's about that time of year again. I'll start with two seedlings I expect to be introduced in 2020.

They are all nice, but Caneel Sunset blows me away! Really love that one. I'm kind of partial to orange, and with that bit of yellow edging on the standards, it's quite unique and beautiful.

I agree, Caneel Sunset is beautiful, that orange color is very bright and it will be a standout in the garden. Livy, and Lucid Dream are just as lovely. But I was wondering when: will be for sale?

Yes, I was noticing just the other evening while looking at its entry in the database that Serene Silence has been registered, but never yet introduced.

Thanks Tom. From across the garden, it looks like an orange self, but it's not at all. The ground color of the standards is orange, but they are heavily blushed pink up the midrib and blended gold near the petal edges. It's one of the best seedlings I've ever had.

Great colors, amazing form and ruffles too! What's not to like, Anyone would be excited to see that in their seedling bed for sure. Congratulations, it's going to be one I order next spring. Lovey dubby

Rockytop Gardens will be introducing them. Unfortunately, Phil told me he lost the row that included Serene Silence (to voles he thought). It grows well for me so probably try to introduce it myself in 2021.

Twilight of the Gods X Just Crazy

It was a cross that produced many pretty seedlings and some fairly weird ones. Caneel Sunset was the best of them. My favorite was actually 13T-25m because it had the blush of pink and blended gold edges on the falls as well as the standards.

Thumb of 2019-11-20/KentPfeiffer/f44142

It never performed very well, though, so eventually had to go.

No, I don't have much interest in getting into the business of selling plants.

I've been hybridizing SDBs as long as TBs, but never got anything really worth keeping until recently (kept a very small number that I like, but none worthy of introduction). Finally, in the last two or three years, started seeing some worthwhile SDB seedlings.

Phil generally doesn't include medians in his catalog, so I'll probably have to sell them myself to get them introduced and can include Serene Silence in that effort. That's about as far as I hope to have to go on the selling end of things, though.

I'm so sorry this didn't perform well, it was stunning.

I hope Serene Silence does well as I think everyone on here would like to get one!!! The Caneel Sunset is just gorgeous too, especially when you show that close-up!
I think Phil has had a rough year especially with all of the rain then drought in Tennessee. Same thing here in KY.
