I purchased it off the Daylily Auction, It is Face Paint x Jelly Maker. It is nocturnal. The night it opens the peach color is more pink. I think it has more characteristics of grandparent plant ( Grandpa Munster) than it's parents.

I have about 25 seedlings from seeds I purchased from you on the Auction. I probably won't get any blooms from them until next year. They were grown in the house then planted in the garden this spring. I have 9 babies from Double Gardenia x Paw Print.

I am seeing a redder coloration closer to the throat and then a bluer one outside that. Nice double edge. Congratulations. It is so so exciting to get the first blooms on these seedlings.

Congratulations on your first seedling, and a nice one at that.
When the plant is established, your seedling may have more
edging. I have seen that happen with many.

I agree with Shirlee - you will probably see improvement next year, but it is very nice now.

That would be a fun thing to do someday but since I am new to hybridizing I would like to name 3 after my grandchildren and 2 after my father and father-in-law since they are no longer with us except in our hearts. My father tought me the love of gardening at a very early age. He loved growing his own vegetables and flowers and sharing them with others. After I have selected 5 flowers to name that would be fun.The lady that named Fred's Lillian's First Bite stopped by my garden last week and she is the one who let me know about All Things Plants. Thanks
