Starting off the months with a mix:
Both spikes are now open on my C. Penny Kuroda 'Spots'
another very fragrant spotty - Blc Waianae Leopard 'Ching Hua' is not fully open yet, it still has a couple more buds to go. There was a dead bee stuck in one of the blooms. Poor thing.
Phymatidium tillandsioides did not open all the buds this year, many simply dropped in those heavy downpours we had the last couple of weeks. But I still think these little plants in lesser blooms are cute.
Brassavola David Sander was a tiny plant in 2004 in one of the freebee boxes at Oak Hill. It also bloomed last year around this time, I did see the spent bloom at our return from Iceland/Greenland. So this year I finally get to see it in bloom!
Ascofinetia Peaches opens a spike
And Vascostylis Midnight Treasure came as a tiny thing from Ooi Leng Sun in March 2010, it had a teensy spike last Summer and looks much respectable this year. I love the color. The last picture shows the color in late afternoon light after the rain.

My goodness, what a show Ursula. You've been holding out on us . . or saving up these lovelies for the new thread? btw Where did July go??
Your David Sander is pink! I have one that has yet to bloom, but I thought they were usually white. Does the pink fade out? I love 'Peaches', what a color.

Sorry Elaine and Lindsey! It's been a rough week. I'm sure it won't be long before someone has a big enough Gerberara to share.
Nice show, Ursula! I hope my 'David Sander' will bloom someday too.
Oh love them 1st 2 spotty ones Ursula And your Vascostylis is a very nice colour. No flowers but look at this Arachnis growing through my Citrus trees, i think its to much shade as it hasnt flowered and doesnt even look like it might.

Or, if it would damage it too much to move it, maybe just prune a few of the citrus tree's branches to give it more light? It sure looks happy in therre!
I got a surprise bloomer - this plant is right beside the patio door that I go in and out of all day long, so of course I never even noticed it had buds.
Lc. Amberglow 'Magnificent' Also my little yellow Spathoglottis keeps pumping out flowers, sitting pretty on the patio table.

Mountain Jim here from North Carolina. No internet at the cabin so am sending this from a restaurant in town. Saw Laurel and Steve in Maypop last Sunday and gave her a hug for Kathy. All is well and we leave for home tomorrow. Nice posts everyone.

Amberglow has a second flower just opening, but it is upside-down right now. Going to wait and see if it comes right before I take an other pic.
I cut a 'window' in the foliage on my mango tree for one of my Laelia Anceps a week or two ago. I'd like to grow at least a few of mine in the trees, if I can.
