I was surprised the other day when I found a big seed pod growing on one of my smaller plants. Of course its a pink .
The only problem is the pot its in is cracked Thumb of 2012-08-02/rucky/a2e4e5
So I'm going to leave it alone until the seed pod opens. I have put one of my wives stockings over it it seems really large for such a small plant. I am not going to try to raise any new ones now I just don't have the time or the need for more plants so if someone wants some plain pink seeds let me know just send me your address and I will mail them to you once they hatch.......Ron

Hi Ron, I am in nearby Kingwood. I would LOVE to try my hand at adenium, I fell in love with them when I saw them in full bloom at the South Texas Botanical Gardens last week. Maybe you can give me tips on growing them as well?

We are looking to move to the Texas hill country away from the coast. Its a lot less humid there and just beautiful country and no hurricanes. We dodged the last one Hurray! I just don't like the clean up afterwards. Its something that I have wanted to do for a long time. And when my Son in Law retires from the Air Force that is where they will settle so it'll be nice to be close to them. But your right moving is the pits I am not looking forward to that part at all I have so much stuff. Plus new doctors and banks and everything. I do love a challenge. I am kind of a nomad I have lived here 3 years longer than I have anywhere. 18 years here before that 15 before that 5. I figure I only have one more move after this one that'll be the ol' folks home Rolling on the floor laughing RonThumb of 2012-09-18/rucky/e42867

Wow! I just googled Texas hill country and what a surprise! I never knew Texas had pretty scenery like that. And #2 for retired Boomers.

Nomad? After I got out of high school, and before St Croix, I never lived one place for two whole years, and then here, never for more than one whole year! But Now I've been in a ratty old house I bought three years ago.... to lazy to move again now. Too many stinkin' Adeniums! hahaha

I have a white-throated picotee like that, so pretty!

Thank you, Rucky! The seeds arrived while I was out of town. They will go into the ground tomorrow. Wish me luck. I have never been good with seeds. If I get one pretty plant from these I will be happy.

Ha, Ron, my hippie friends thought I was a redneck, and my redneck friends thought I was a hippie. Then later, I turned into a sailor, then a scuba diver. I'm just a weird old Adenium-loving woman now...

I'm not so sure about that! I hope Melissa knows I never mean to upset her, It's raining (again) now, so I have a good excuse for not going out and getting a picture of my attempt at a desert rose hedge.
