I was googling around over the weekend and found ladybug houses.

Here's an example:

Has anyone ever used these, and do they work?

I've seen one that was a piece of hollow bamboo with cord on either side to hang it. I'll look for it. Didn't find the one I was looking for, but here's a few.

That is interesting, thanks Sandi! One of my children is wanting to make some for us and to sell at the upcoming master gardener plant sale.

Dave, I purchase lady bugs for my greenhouse and yes I have seen the ladybug house. In fact I had one years ago and I never saw a ladybug in it. I was so disappointed I was sure I would have hundreds of them just dying for a nice place to stay but no luck. They do very well in my greenhouse and they also live in my house.....I am a buggy old lady I guess. Sticking tongue out

Rolling my eyes. If I had a bellfry I bet I would. I have barn swallows that poop every 15 seconds.

I am afraid of bats, snakes and spiders. Lady bugs are the only bug I can tolerate and it is because when I was little when I would find one and bring it to my Grandfather he would say, " Lady Bug Lady Bug Fly away home. Your house is on fire and your children will burn." Then he would send it on its way by throwing it up in the air so it had to fly.
Isn't that funny I would remember that? I am going to be 84 in a few weeks and I can hear him say that as clear as if he was in the room. I have always loved ladybugs. Whistling Rolling my eyes.
