Does anyone fashion their own trellis? I had a link on my old computer before it crashed :(

It was about a woman that welded and made beautiful scrolls and curves into her own trellis.
Bee Kind, make the world a better place.

I don't mind some rusted metal, but not liking it on this! Any product available to keep the original metal look?

Do you mean put the oil on after each rain?

Well...you wouldn't have to oil it after each rain.. I was just pointing out that oil would be worn away by the elements.. sun/rain will start to degrade the oils protection... especially where it would catch and hold water... a small hole there would make a world of difference in keeping the rust at bay..
it is steel...and it will rust outside... the heavier the coating of protection.. the longer it will last.. but the further you get away from a natural metal look..

Good idea on the hole. Thanks for clarifying.
What would you use to get off the rust

Sandi, I love the critters! Lovey dubby

Anna, rustoleum spray paint might help too. I wonder if they have a clear one I must admit though I love the rust. Green Grin!

Thought I'd share a photo of my new Guard Rooster - a gift from my sister for my chicken yard. His head is on a spring and bobbles in the wind.

I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

There's a blogger who wrote a classic tale about a metal rooster she named Beyonce, and picking your battles. You can google to find it. The chicken even has its own FB page now!

Hi, just thought someone might like our recycled clock which is now a "flower" in our garden. My husband did all the hard work, of course, but I picked the paint color--Watermelon Pink and I used a pink gerbera as my guide for the center. I used paint pens to do that. My husband used polyurethane spray to help protect it. It isn't done yet, hubby wants to figure out some way to put a couple of leaves on it. Tune in for further developments!!! Smiling

I took the picture at this angle so the "petals" would show up better. It is not easy to see them straight on. Also, a funny thing happened--I saw a hummingbird checking out the flower, but poor thing gave up and flew away, no nectar here.
