I think Miss Kitty (left) & 20 yr. old Gremlin (right) have been on the kitchen porch for the entire month of August. Gremlin lays on the same step and in the same spot.
Miss Kitty has taken up residence under a planter. Don't they look excited?

At 20 years old a cat might be expected to have a "been there, done that " attitude. I do think it is interesting how cats choose a spot and make it theirs for days or weeks at a time, then there is suddenly a new spot.

Are these a specific breed of goose that experience bad feather days? In the canary world, these would be called "frilled". Or are they just going through a heavy baby molt?

How cute! But their feathers look so disorganized; do they actually shed water; can they float?

PPal - Feathers are actually better for keeping them warm than for shedding water. I'd be more interested in how they keep warm. Their oil glans must be working overtime for those kinds of feathers. I doubt that they live on water as much as a normal goose, like a Canadian goose. They spend very little time in water compared to a standard goose.

They're suppose to look that way.
They differ from Frizzle Chickens since their feathers don't go in reverse,
rather they are long and curl.

Hello I'm fine thank you!
Just too busy as usual.
Actually I'm happy to report
that I did see a noticeable reduction in the Jap Beetles this year.
HALLELUJAH!! Anxious to see what next year brings.

Here's a few pics from yesterday.
Our weather has been just glorious but I doubt it will stay that way for very long.
My "Supertunias" are still blooming!
A few roses too!
Mums in full swing.

Those are some really cool geese!

Also I am impressed be the petunias. Perhaps it's because of where I live, but I can't grow them.

I guess because I am inept. The climate and insect pressure here also makes it hard.
