This is my first year at having beekeeping. I have just given them their 2nd bowl of sugar syrup to increase the production of young as when there is a shortage of food during the winter months this is a good food source to keep them going and to feed to their young. I checked on them yesterday and it looks as though there are triple the amount of bees there now than what I had several months ago. My parents are coming over next month from NZ to stay with us for 2 weeks and whilst here my dad will show me how to take some of the honey.
