Here is another awesome series of sempervivum, by an American hybridizer and owner of SMG Succulents.
Gingerbread Boy
Jeepers Creepers (not yet released)
Lush Life (not yet released)
Midnight Sun
New Rhumba
Nightcrawler (not yet released)
Round Midnight
Salt Peanuts
Sophisticated Lady (not yet released)

I have two of this series so far, and can't wait to collect the rest of them.
Both Gingerbread Boy and New Rhumba are outstanding semps.
Newly acquired S. 'Gingerbread Boy', as a young plant. Can't wait to see this one mature and go through all the seasons.

Can you explain more about the "background" of the series for those of us that do not understand the significance of the names?

Jeepers Creepers.. Where's you get those peepers?

Now I'll have that tune in my head all night.

I don't know all of these, but those I do are some pretty old jazz tunes.

Here is a quote from Don Mylin about his series: "I guess you could refer to mine as the Jazz series, since all of the names are inspired by some aspect of jazz- a tangential interest of mine."

Not into jazz, so I'll probably pass this one by unless there is one in the series that really grabs me. I think that Don will come up with some nice ones though.

When I saw Jeepers Creepers, I thought of the movie and was trying to fit it into a pattern with the other names. Jeepers Creepers the movie is one that I think few here would want to see (its a horror flick) but I've seen it several times, quite by accident.

Can't wait to see the pics though.

I just stumbled on this old forum. Does anyone know if any of these unreleased ones ever got released? Also I was wondering if his new semp 'Passion Dance' is part of this series too.

Nathaniel, Don is really good about replying back to email, or if you do FB you can message him to see what is available.
Also I think Julia has some of them.

I'll reach out to him on FB. I got a few of his semps this year, and I really like how they are doing. That's what got me to start looking for this series. I was super excited when I found this old thread with some listed to released, but I also noticed no one placed them in there list yet. Hopefully they didn't get lost to time.

Kevin, do you mean 'Green Dolphin'?
Hen and chicks (Sempervivum 'Green Dolphin')

I updated the entry, it didn't have the hybridizer information. If you don't have it I do.
