I wanted to add this one, but it appears that the system has it as an AKA with another trademark name: Caliente® Deep Red. I see Calliope Scarlet Fire is there, but not Calliope Dark Red

Hang on Joanne, I tried to add this as a new entry, Pelargonium genus, Calliope® Dark Red as the trade name, I didn't enter the cultivar name because I can't find one so far.
Dave, need to know how to proceed as I can't enter it without a cultivar name.

Here's the plant breeder website that has the info for all their trademarked varieties, which includes the Calliope series. The Calliopes are Interspecific, which means they are a genetic cross between a Zonal and Ivy. Dummen Red Fox also has some Interspecific varieties Cummbinata Deep Rose and Dark Red

When a cultivar isn't provided but a patent number is, this website can help in finding cultivar names. http://www.ptodirect.com/

ex.
from Syngenta website: Americana® Bright Red http://www.syngentaflowersinc....
PTO Direct search by patent number PP12,106: cultivar name: `Amri Bright Red` http://www.ptodirect.com/Resul...
Be sure to preceed patent number with PP (plant patent).

LOL, I even looked at that Proven Winners page Dave but didn't scroll down enough to see the cultivar name.
Joanne, I had also looked at the site too, which didn't provide the cultivar name. I rad the info on the cross, sounds like great plants!
Good to know info Evan! Thumbs up

If this hasn't been done yet, I can create the entry for Joanne.

Thanks Sue Thumbs up

I notice with the PW website, they often (but not always) put the cultivar name at the very bottom.
